"Alright at this point of the video we're going to explain the lane itself. The bowling alley. Now let's look down here. Here are your spots. These spots are used to have where you want to land your foot when you're moving. Where you want to position yourself. There's forty boards from left to right. We're going to go down and we're going to look at the arrows and the marks you shoot at. You will aim. Some bowlers aim at these dots which are approximately 10 feet from the foul line. Most bowlers, and the easiest mark to hit will be the arrows. And you'll hear everybody saying move your arrow, move your mark, when you're not hitting the pocket. These are the arrows you're shooting at. Here's seven arrows. Now here's your boards. This is one board. The first arrow is set up on the 5th board. This is the 10th board. This is the 15th board. Those are the arrows that most bowlers aim for. The better bowlers, the right handed bowlers, will hit one of these three arrows. Sometimes even the 4th arrow. You angle it to go over the dots into the arrows and straight down into the pocket. The reason you aim at either the 1st arrow, 2nd arrow, 3rd arrow, is the condition of the lane. If they're freshly oiled, like 5 minutes ago, you'll land closer to the head pin. But if it's 3 or 5 games on them there's less oil so you might have to expand it and bowl a little further out to maybe the 1st arrow. So you'll go all the way out to the 5th board and you'll swing the ball out and into the pocket. When it's fresh oil you want to hit maybe the 10th or the 15th board right into the pocket. Trial and error. That's the only way you can figure this game out. Try it once, if it doesn't work, try a different one."
