"So, what do goats eat? Well, although they're famous for eating anything, that's not accurate in truth. And it is good to maintain a quality diet for your goats. They're ruminants and they can really handle some, all kinds of hay, and even leaves and brush from the forest. And this one's wanting to get into the grain, but he can't have any. Only the mamas get grain, the milking mamas or the pregnant ones get grain. If you give grain to the boys, they develop urinary calculi, and it's can be fatal. So, common mistake, people want to give their boy goats grain, because they're so cute, but he can't have any, maybe a little bit, not too much. It's also important to make available a multi mineral mix. This is a, this is a livestock salt mix, that has some micro nutrients and minerals in it. And they'll eat it as they need it, they know. You see, he wants the grain, not the minerals, but, that's all of that he's going to get. Goats also need to go out to pasture. They do really well on brushy pasture, weeds. They'll even eat poison ivy. Most goats won't eat what, what, ha, ha. Most goats won't eat what will hurt them, but occasionally one will get into some laurel or other poisonous things, and that can be fatal, so you should really check out what's in, what's in your pasture. Goats can also eat crop residues, compost from the kitchen, pruning from fruit trees, brush and leaves, weeds, almost anything, but not quite."
