Video Transcript

"From Trikonasana take a wide leg stance, and then turn your left foot out and the right toes will face forward. Sweep your arms out and then lengthen over your left leg taking your fingertips or your hands to a block, left leg stays straight. Stretch the right arm up to the sky, and line up your torso so that it's in line with your left leg. Expand your breath. And then inhale, lift up. Let's take the block to the second side, and turn the left foot in, turn the right foot out and check to make sure that your right heel is bisecting your left arch. Also that you have a good wide distance of four to five feet between the feet themselves. Keeping the leg muscles steady with effort, sweep your arms out and then use your breath to lengthen out over your front leg, fingertips to the block, top arm to the sky. Soften your skin, so that even though this pose requires effort you also surrender and you just let the pose open itself up, like a flower unfolding. Inhale and lift all the way back up, and then release your arms, turn your feet back to the center."
