"Here we're going to use the eight iron to chip. So, once again we're close to the green. I've decided that I don't have that much green; I'm not that far from the surface of the green. So, I'd rather roll the ball on the green than use a highly lofted club and float it or sail or loft it to one of these pins that I want to aim at. This is a very useful club, because; especially if I have a downhill shot or it really doesn't matter if it's an uphill, side hill. In certain circumstance I think it's less risky to use this club, because once again if I scull it like I do; if I scull it with a sand wedge I can sail the ball anywhere. So, this club gives me a little more safety. It's almost the safety of a putter to a degree, but then I don't have as much under spin on it and I don't get as much a; it's not going to stop like a more lofted club will. So, there's always tradeoffs. So, I keep my feet somewhat together. I like to choke down when I use an eight iron around the greens, because I want control. I don't need a lot of power. So, here I am. I just have a nice controlled swing and that will allow me to put it to whatever part of the green I want. I'm going to demonstrate a short chip with the eight iron. So, I just take a small back swing and I just follow through. So, small back swing and OK I'm a foot from the pin. So, that's what I wanted. So, that's the use of an eight iron around the green."
