"And more about the Ward-Beck Systems board. Okay, now that we can select an input, in this case we've selected the CD player, CD #2 is the input, we can turn it on, turn it up. Other things you need to know about this board are how to change the monitor level. Now what the monitor level change does is it changes how loud the speakers are. So now they're real loud but you see changing the speaker level doesn't change what the people at home are hearing, so watch out for that. Another thing is you can change the level of the volume that's coming to your headset, so here I can crank it way up, folks at home can't hear this, but I sure can! So changing the headset level volume happens there. Another thing, the cue function, let me show you about the cue function. This little button here, the gray one, you hit it and now what we're hearing is, we're hearing it only through this little tiny speaker and you can see that the people at home aren't hearing anything, there's no levels on the VU meters. All we're getting, it's just for us to be able to change, to sample what we're hearing without actually broadcasting it. So those are a few other functions of the Ward-Beck System console. Now, things to watch out for, as amateurs, don't mess with any of these buttons, we don't really know what they do. Or any of these buttons, same thing, just leave them alone, let the pros deal with those. So again, what you're dealing with is this row of buttons, this area, and these three volume adjusts, and that's the Ward-Beck Systems board!"
