"Next we are dealing with removing the spark plugs from the engine itself. So what you want to do, you have all your wires placed out, you want to remove the wires. Sometimes you may have to use maybe something like a pair of long needle nose pliers, so grab it in a certain place. You want to grab it maybe on this metal shield and pull up, because sometimes it is tough once the plug wires have been on the vehicle for a long time. So what you want to do, you want to move the wires themselves out of the way so that you can access the spark plugs. So you get all of this cleared out of the way, and you can access the plugs themselves. When dealing with the spark plugs, the tools that you will need, you will need a spark plug socket. Now generally spark plugs are the same size on this end that the socket fits on. You place this onto an extension, you may need one of these depending, because the spark plugs are recessed down into the head of the engine. So you found out where your spark plugs are at, then you use your socket wrench, and depending on how they were tightened in before, how long they've been in, it should be simple to remove the spark plug from the head. You go counterclockwise to loosen it, then you just, once you get it loosened, you can freely move it by hand, and you have to be careful not to drop them because they are made out of ceramic. And you just repeat this step for however many cylinders your vehicle has. And that is how you remove your spark plug."
