"Once your horse is comfortable with both lunge lines on, we can move to just having one lunge line and one actual cross tie on. Before you put the cross tie on we're going to put yarn on the side of the horse's halter in order to attach the cross tie to the yarn, not just the halter. This just provides a little bit of a safety net so that the yarn can break rather than the horse getting stuck and flipping out. So, I'll tie the yarn and then attach the actual cross tie. Now also the cross tie on the attached side to the wall is actually attached to a bailing twine instead of just the wall and this just provides another safety net in case the horse gets scared so that the bailing twine will break."
