"Hello, I'm Dr. Miguel Rodriguez, I'm a Gastroenterologist with Miami Gastroenterology Consultants in Miami, Florida. The most atypical manifestation of GERD, of gastroesophageal reflux is a chronic cough, bronchial asthma. People will be sometimes newly diagnosed as having asthma, or a person who had asthma as a child or as a young adult that suddenly finds him or herself having asthma again. Other manifestations include chronic sinusitis, that can be also confused as just allergies. I also have to mention that one of the manifestation of reflux could be snoring as well as blisters in the mouth that can be attributed to other reasons but are just results of chronic acid exposure."
