"You just got married or you're thinking about getting married and when you do, you want to change your name to your married name. Hello! I'm Robert Todd and I'm here to answer the question, how to change your married name? Well, this is probably something you should start the process before you actually get married by telling your friends and guests who are going to attend the wedding, what your married name is going to be, whether you're going to take your spouse's name or you're not going to take your spouse's name, and so forth and so on, so they don't spend time and money monogramming items with different initials. But the important parts of changing to your married name are, you want to be sure and change your social security card to reflect your married name, and you're going to have to do that through the Social Security Administration and you maybe able to do that through mail or on the Internet as opposed to having to appear in person. The second identification that you want to be sure of the changes to reflect your married name is going to be your driver's license and if you have already change your social security card and name, it will facilitate your changing your driver's license accordingly. And then you're going to be sure and notify the Human Resources Department of your employer of your married name change. I'm Robert Todd and thank you for watching."
