"This is financial advisor Patrick Munro and our topic today is how to get an ex to sell a house. As a financial advisor, I have the ability to talk to a lot of colleagues of mine that are attorneys and several of those are divorce attorney. They have a lot of experience about this topic. And basically when a divorce does come to pass, individuals can get very heated and confrontational. But the most confrontational they will get is over the topic of real estate and principally the family home. Most notably and more often than not, the women has control of the home and the assets while the man is on the outside looking in. And if an individual through the divorce action needs to sell the home, the best course of action to get an ex to sell the house is to be calm and reasonable and allow for the reasonable transition of her to move to another facility where her life standard of living is going to be a level that she's happy with. So having a calm accountancy in the way that you're working with your attorney and their attorney is the best course of action. This is how to get an ex to sell a house."
