"This is financial advisor Patrick Munro talking about the best retirement cities. The best retirement cities really is a function of research. If you are on the edge of retirement and you are still working and you are thinking about well it's time to move from a cold Midwest or wherever you happen to been building your career and you want to set up an idyllic lifestyle, one of the best places to go is Kiplinger's magazine or Money magazine for their annual issue on the best retirement places to live. What you can do is find out what your criteria is, if you like to live in the coast and many people do because of the warm climes, specifically the southern coast, you have an opportunity to do so. And I would look at the Carolinas and Florida being one. Florida is very popular because of their tax status as well. But if you are very much involved in sports and college sports and things of that nature you may want to settle near a college sports town as well. And opportunities exist in California as well for the retiree. It's all about research when you are looking for the best retirement places to live. This is financial advisor Patrick Munro."
