"Hi, I'm Donna Barnes, life and relationship coach here in New York City, and the author of It's All About You. To become romantic, you need to just put a little bit of effort into it. If you're not really a romantic person and you feel like that's all just, then first what you've got to do is change your thinking about that. Romance is fun, so you could first start with music. If you like music, have some fun putting together a little playlist on your iPod or whatever it is that you have and really create a good, romantic song list to get you in the mood. And I think part of romance is really in the preparation of it. If you can think of a fun thing to do for your partner and really put a lot of effort into getting that ready for them putting event, no matter what it is, you'll start to feel romantic about it and you'll be excited and you'll be looking forward to surprising with them...surprising them with that or giving that to them. So romance can be anything as simple as just remembering something that was important to them and making sure that you did something about it, or creating a big, elaborate evening with the rose petals on the bed. It's really all in how you choose to think about it. But stimulate that desire in you. Think about when you first met and hopefully you'll start feeling a little bit more romantic."
