"How does a designer sell their sketches, their designs or their pieces? There is two ways to go around this. The first is actually working for an already established company and designing sketches based off of their style and their references that they have and for this it wouldn't be your designs but it would be under theirs. So it is learning about the company that you would want to work for and you do the design for and their style, their past trends and then where they are going and you could still come up with your innovative ideas and different things that you would want to do but it is still staying truly to what they originally had. The second way of getting your designs or your garments out there is approaching boutiques or department stores with it. A big thing when selling your garments to a boutique or garment store is actually being able to produce what you guaranteed them so that for every fashion apparel company you go by season so you have to make sure that you are on time with what you had promised and guaranteed and that is what develops a working and lasting relationship with these companies."
