Fashion editors are responsible of giving creative influences to the magazine as going underneath the editor and chief, they're supposed to take what the editor would want and create it into the magazine. So if the magazine has a particular issue, say the men issue, they would all their fashion stories, their features would have to kind of fit with that. Whether it doesn't have to necessarily be men's wear, but it could be women's wear that is very masculine or very androgynous and so they are supposed to pretty much make everything run smoothly from the stories and features that when you opening a magazine everything is coherent, everything makes sense and you know each page belongs in that magazine and it's not a random piece. You do a lot of traveling, knowing what's in, what's coming of the upcoming trends for the next season so you do have your plans for the next issue of what you're going to do and what your stories are. And you have a very, you build relationships with photographers as well as stylists, makeup artists, celebrities and you have to trust the people that you are working with because they're supposed to represent or produce what you're trying to go for and then in terms of what editor in chief is trying to go for and so you have to trust these people that they will be able to produce that and that's the obligations and duties of a fashion editor."
