"Hi this is Zephyr Clarke-Dalberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. You know, one of the things people with allergies really tend to be bothered with is the dander more than the hair when it comes to dogs. So they do have shampoos that remove the dander, and you know kind of like flushes all the allergens off of the dog, and makes living with them a lot more comfortable. There are also hypoallergenic type of dogs, for instance we have the schnauzer, bichon frise, the poodle, Portuguese water dog, and there are several other dogs. And now they have the designer dogs the golden doodles and that sort of thing. These dogs don't shed, and don't have the same kind of hair or fur that other dogs have. They have more of a hair more similar to a human hair, without the dander. So with people with allergies like my mother had, when I was growing up, she had Portuguese water dogs and they are great dogs, and again you want to always consider that when you are getting any dog whether it is hypo-allergenic or a normal dog. You want to really remember that some things to consider would be size, activity level, certain breeds, and try to find the dog that really matches your home life and your home style, your lifestyle. So let's say that you already have a dog or you just are totally in love with a dog that does cause these kind of symptoms or allergies for you. Some of the things that you can do is get those ionizers, air purifiers, there are certain vacuums that you can buy that with the hepa filters or air conditioning systems, or air systems throughout your home that filter out the allergens and make it a lot easier for you."
