"Guten Tag! Rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert here and we're discussing how to put a German "umlaut" signal or mark on top of a vowel. It's usually used in a, o, or u in the German language to change the vowel sound. It's noted by two little dots above it. It's actually very easy, let's take a look. What you have to do is push the Option and Hold, push and hold Option, Option U, and that will get it into mode. Here we've got a German word, Jagermeister, and the "a" should have it umlaut over it. So, we're going to hit Option U and you see that it's highlighted. When it's highlighted like that, that lets you know that the computer is in the mode to accept the next letter, and all we have to simply do is type in the "a" and it's going to be accented properly. Now, there are other major characters that are, there are other characters that have that ability, there could be a Tilvy if you're using Spanish which is Up Hold Option N, and the way they make it easy to remember is this the letter that is at least mentally most often used with that particular mark is the one they do. So, Option N for the Tilvy because it's usually see at over an N, and Option U, holding U, gets it in the mode to accept the umlaut. So, guten tag! I'm Rokosz, your digital lifestyle expert. Hopin' that was helpful! Stream you later!"
