Hi, I'm Merrilee, and today I'm going to show you how to make chocolate covered popcorn. Very few ingredients in this, but very quick. This is regular popcorn that we've popped. And we're going to start by making the chocolate to cover it. I've started with two tablespoons of butter that I've melted. And we're going to add a tablespoon and a half of milk, two tablespoons of light corn syrup, one tablespoon of cocoa powder and then a dash of salt. We're going to go over to the stove top, and we're going to heat this to a boil, stirring constantly so it doesn't burn on the bottom. And then we're going to just coat our popcorn. There's a dash of salt. We're going to go over and heat this. And we want to bring it to a boil, just for a second, so it doesn't have to boil for very long, we just need to get it to that stage. Now the great thing about this is it's a no-bake chocolate covered popcorn recipe. Some of the recipes, after you coat the popcorn with the chocolate, then you need to put it on a cookie sheet and bake it in the oven for about an hour at a very low temperature. So this is a no-bake recipe. Now that our chocolate sauce has come to a boil, it's ready to drizzle over our popcorn and coat it. So, pull the bowl over here. Get it all in here. Now something you can add to this that would make it really yummy is maybe some almonds. Maybe drizzle a little caramel sauce in here, too. And you can create your own specialty popcorn. Just toss it gently to make sure everything's coated. And there you have your chocolate covered popcorn.
