"Hi, I'm Trina Sims of Green Star Herbs and I'm going to talk a little bit today about how to take care of sinus infections at home. Steam is a wonderful start, even plain steam will help. But, if you'll add a spoonful or two of apple cider vinegar, or lavender, either the lavender blossoms, or leaves, or lavender essential oil, or thyme can be added to that water in the steam, or oregano can be added as well. Any of these will help fight back that infection if you use them in the form of nice, warm steam. A good tea to help clear that sinus infection is simply ginger tea with a little cayenne pepper added to it. That'll help thin the mucous and they both seem to fight the infection itself. Two herbs I'd like to mention whose actions specifically target the sinuses are euphrasia or eyebright, that's a good common name for it, and hydrastis or goldenseal. Your local herbalist or qualified health care professional will be able to give you a little more guidance on the use of eyebright and goldenseal. It's well worth seeking out that little bit of further information. I hope you find this helpful, thank you!"
