"Hi we're here to talk about how to handle income and things that come up after you have already filed your taxes. For instance, many times you will receive a 1099 or a notification of dividends or something in the mail after you have already filed your income tax. Well the way to handle that is to get yourself an amended return, and fill that out, follow all the directions, and send it to the proper location. Many times your amended return may go to a different location than your original return went to, so you need to make sure that the, check out the address and you get it sent to the right place. One thing to keep in mind is that if you received a 1099 or some other notification of income received, and it's come in after you have filed your taxes. Don't just ignore it and let it go, because the IRS also gets notification whenever you get your 1099 they get a copy of it. And so you need to make sure that you get your amended return filed as soon as possible. And hopefully before the deadline to avoid any penalties or interest or anything like that."
