"Hi, my name is Dave Andrews. Today I'm going to show you how to obtain Microsoft certification. Let's go to our computer; I will show you what to search for in the Internet to fin the information about it. Now Microsoft certification are sort of an industry standard these days to show what you know and basically to set yourself apart from the crowd as far as your computer knowledge. Let's just open up our web browser and I'm going to open up microsoft.com. Now once I'm on Microsoft's website, I want to do just a search on their site for certification. If I scroll down a little bit on the results, you're going to find the Microsoft certification's overview; let's click on that. Now this gives you information about all of the Microsoft's certifications, the benefits of them; basically some exam preps that you can click on for certain, for certain exams. But I'm going to click on technology under learn about Microsoft certifications 'cause this lets me search for certifications that I like to have. Now if you scroll down a little bit in this list, let's say we would like to have MCTS, which is one of the certifications for Microsoft Sequel Server. Let's click on that MCTS and Microsoft is going to tell us right here exactly what needs to be done for us to gain that Sequel Server certification. Now in all of these cases pretty much you have to actually go to a learning center and take an exam that's been certified by Microsoft as a effective exam. Now if you scroll down to the bottom here, most of the sites, they're going to give you a list. This particular window's not; I'm going to go to one that know does. It's going to give you a list of the exams that you can, that you have to take; so I'm going to scroll down here; yeah, now I'm in the Warren for Exchange Server 2007. It tells me I have to take Microsoft's exam 70-236 in order to gain the MCTS certification for Microsoft Exchange Server. Now if I click here under review the prep guide, it's basically going to give me the information that I need to study for that exam and it'll tell me the Microsoft books that I can buy to train myself for the exam. Now these exams are not easy tests, you can't take knowledge that you gain just by peeling around with it and go get a certification. You actually have to have in-depth knowledge the system. So I suggest that you buy one of these self-paced training kits and study for the exams. My name is Dave Andrews and I've just told you how to obtain Microsoft certification."
