Hello, my name is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, Board Certified Dermatologist, and author of " Six Weeks to Sensational Skin." In this clip, we're going to talk about how to make acne scars disappear, and I must tell you as a practicing dermatologist for nearly 30 years, I like to emphasize to everyone, that there may be no true magic trick for resolving acne scars, but we're going to focus on several things. First of all, if you have the recent onset of a bad acne lesion, which has now just resolved, and you're concerned about a scar, the number one piece of advice I must give you, is avoid sun exposure, and please put on sunscreen every single day. This will help your skin to calm down any of the residual inflammation from the acne, that could be leading to the acne scar. Secondly, I'm going to say, that if you do believe that this is not just a typical mark from acne, but that you may truly be left with a prominent scar from acne, please, as early on as you can, seek the advice of a Board Certified Dermatologist.
