Hi there I'm Trina Sims of Green Star Herbs in Austin, Texas and today we're going to talk about some of the benefits of ground ginger. Ground ginger is an easy form in which to keep ginger conveniently available in our kitchens. In that form it can be directly added to all sorts of foods, sauces, baked goods and other savory items. When we add it to food it always acts to promote good digestion. Another use for ground ginger is that it is a quick and easy form from which to make ginger tea. Ginger tea is wonderful as a remedy for any digestive problem or as warming tea on those days that we are chilled and perhaps our hands and feet just stay cold. The tea will give you a nice warming lift and a little energy for several hours. Another nice way to use ginger ground or powdered is to add a small handful to a bath tub full of nice hot water. It provides an invigorating stimulating bath that will keep you warm and again provide a little lift of energy, both for its aroma therapeutic actions and in that it opens the capillaries in the skin. These are just some of the ways that we can use ground ginger quickly and easily to our benefit.
