Hey do you want to lower your cholesterol? Here's some foods that can help you do that. Oatmeal, the great way to start your day. You want to make sure it's a 100% whole oatmeal, not the kind in the packets that are instant and ready to go. Also another food that can lower your cholesterol is pomegranate. Pomegranate is a natural, sweet berry. You can get it in juice or the most natural way is to just eat the fruit. Acai berry is another fruit that has been shown in tests to lower cholesterol. A great way to lower your cholesterol also is by making changes to the diet that you're already consuming. A great thing to cut out is white flour by using grains, multi grain, rye, millet, flaxseed, 100% whole wheat. Make sure that you've looked for that 100% whole wheat on the label. Those are great ways you can get that in by breads, whole wheat pasta, changing white rice to brown rice is a great way to reduce that cholesterol number. Dairy is often a culprit of high cholesterol but a great way you can cut that in half is by instead of having whole milk, use 2%, 1%, cutting out whole fat cheese, going down to 2%, 1%. I do try to stay away from anything that is fat free because you do need to have a little bit of fat in your diet, it's very important to have that for joints, hair, skin and nails. So cutting it in half is an excellent way to hopefully cut your cholesterol number in half.
