Hi, my name is Charlotte Skiles. I'm a nutrition consult consultant and clinical herbalist with Eat in Peace Wellness Consulting, located in Austin, Texas, and right now I'm going to talk to you about how magnetic therapy works. Well, there's there's a couple of different theories around how magnetic therapy works; one of which is that it increases circulation in the body. So, they've done what's called far infrared imaging to people who are using magnets on certain parts of their body, and what they see is an increase in blood flow. So, considering that magnets are great for for injuries, and can facilitate a certain speed of healing and efficiency of healing the tissue this makes perfect sense, because when you increase circulation you're both feeding the tissue and allowing, you know, allowing it to remove waste products as well, so that's a beautiful thing. The other theory involved here is that because of our modern structures that we've created on this world in terms of of, on this earth I guess; in terms of buildings and whatnot, concrete, we're blocking our body's experience of the earth's natural magnetic, I guess you want to say, I mean the earth has a a certain magnetic propensity for it and we're blocking it with these with these structures, so in a sense, magnetic therapy would would ground us and bring us back into the presence of that particular aspect of the earth. So, what are the health implications there, or how does it work? I'm not sure other than bringing us back to nature which is, of course, where we evolved from. We didn't used to live in all of these square walls. So, those would be my two thoughts as to how magnetic therapy works.
