Video Transcript

"Hi this is Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training in Miami, Florida. In this clip we're going to talk about elderly dog diseases. And this is Pete, he's an old boy, he's about 10 or 11 years old. Some of the more common problems that you'll find with older dogs is eye problems, you know sometimes you'll have skin problems, and a lot of times you'll have hip problems. Which sometimes they can even have hip dysplasia as younger dogs but because they may be well-muscled those symptoms may not show up until they're older and their muscles are deteriorating. A lot of times they can get cancers. With older dogs cancers are pretty common. And all kinds of skin and irritating diseases that tend to affect them just as they age, you know, I mean arthritis is a huge thing in which case they do have glucosamine and chondroitin and all those kind of things that you can give your dog. Once again this has been Zephyr Clarke-Dolberg with Miami Dog Training."
