Hi my name is Lauren and today I'm here to discuss how to make homemade deep hair conditioners. Homemade hair conditioners are very good for the hair. You can use very household products, things that you would have in your kitchen anyhow. One really good one is actually just to apply mayonnaise throughout your entire head. Start at the root, work it all the way down. Go section by section, and really kind of saturate your entire head. After you're done saturating your entire hair you can actually go ahead and throw a saran wrap over it, or you can use a shower cap in order to encapsulate that body heat. You're then going to want to add a little bit of heat. What the heat's going to actually do is open up your cuticle and really help the conditioning agent infuse into your hair. You can use a blow-dryer and blow the top of the cap, or you can use a hot towel. If you take a towel and soak it in hot water, wring it out and then place it on your head, that'll work just as well. After you're done with this you're then going to shampoo your hair. Leave it on for about 15-20 minutes so that way it really saturates and then wash it out as regular. You can shampoo it and you can condition it thereafter. Your hair will automatically be softer, have a little bit more of a silky shine to it. If you really want to enhance it you can actually also add a half an avocado to it. So if you mix mayonnaise, about a cup and a half, with a half an avocado, and really mix, blend it really well until it's no longer lumpy, but actually a smooth consistency that'll also help. The avocado will give it a little bit extra moisture and it'll also help maintain frizz and help tame it. And that is how to do a home conditioning treatment.
