Hi. My name is Lauren and today I'm here to discuss how to lighten your hair using lemon juice. Lemon juice will naturally lighten your hair especially if you go out in the sun. It's very easy to lighten your hair with lemon juice. And it will be good for something that's a little bit more on the natural side. Ultimately the citric acid once the sun hits it, helps to lighten up your hair and gives you more of your natural highlight. Bringing out your natural highlights. So you don't have to worry so much about anything. So if you're going to do your entire head, what you're going to do is actually just take just straight up lemon juice and put it throughout your entire hair. And you can use your fingers in order to really work it through or you can use a comb. You want to make sure that your hair is very saturated. If you're deciding that you don't want to do it your entire head and you don't want to lighten but you almost want to create a highlighted effect, what you're then going to do is you're going to literally take small sections of your hair and just king of hit those small sections with lemon juice. And then let them fall. That way it'll kind of be a little bit more catered to which pieces you want to actually help and be lightened. The easy part of this is that after you're done applying the lemon juice, whatever your application is, then all you really need to do is go outside and have a little fun in the sun. That heat from the actual UVA and UVB rays from the sun will help lighten your hair, which it does naturally. The citric acid from the lemon juice is just going to enhance that lightening effect and give your hair a little bit more. You can put the sun in when your hair is wet if you'd like. Do shampoo however, do not condition because the conditioner will lay over the cuticle. So if you want maximum results, shampoo, put a little lemon juice in your hair and go out an spend the day in the sun. And that is how to lighten your hair with lemon juice.
