"Hi I'm Rachel Yatuzis and I'm going to show you how to remove minor rust spots from a gun. First off obviously you want to make sure that the weapon is not loaded. Look down the barrel, there is nothing in there, it's safe, good to go. Even if it is not loaded it is not polite to have it pointed at somebody too so remember that. My dad always taught me that. You can use an onion and you can actually slice an onion, let me slice this one really quick and show you, you can slice an onion and use the open part as a sponge. This will cause any rust to just flake off of metal. This is any kind of metal. It's awesome. It works really well. There is some sort of chemical reaction that goes on that I couldn't even begin to explain to you but it works. Another thing you can try is a ball of aluminum foil. You can use a ball of aluminum foil to get rust off of any kind of metal so you want to be careful, you don't want to scratch it, be really careful. Also if you have some really fine steel wool that is great for scrubbing rust off of your weapon. If you have minor rust spots it's normal especially with something like you know a gun, a shot gun, a rifle, anything like that, they are all collectibles and you may end up with one that belonged to your grandfather's grandfather and you want to keep it in good shape so those are some good tips and that should help you keep your gun collection looking brand new. I am Rachel Yatuzis and that is how you remove minor rust spots from guns."
