I'm Josie Minks and I'm a labor and delivery nurse in Austin, Texas and I'm here to talk about how to relieve backache during pregnancy. There's several ways. One is to stand up straight. You can strengthen muscles just by standing up straight. Another way is to exercise and swim, helps to stretch out your muscles and to build and strengthen your muscles in your back. Another is to go to a massage therapist who specializes in pregnancy. This can really help during, to relieve some of the backache. Another way to relieve that backache is to just move around. You don't want to sit or stand in one position or one place for long periods of time. You want to be moving around, always changing positions, relieving some of that pressure to help relieve backache from pregnancy.
