"Hi I'm Gary Reasons, former NFL linebacker. This topic is how to be a proper center and actually snap the football. Well I've got Nick here and Nick is going to demonstrate the proper stance that you need to be in to actually snap the football. First of all you need a good base just outside shoulder width. Have your knees bent and the ball will be placed down here in front of you. You are going to grip the football with your thumb and your fingers and your job is to pull that ball back on the quarterback's cadence. I am going to step right behind Nick here and where he is targeting is going to be right underneath here. So he is going to bring the ball to my hands, take it back Nick. He is going to be bringing the ball back here on my cadence, snap, and that's a proper technique to snap the football. Now the one thing you have to do also is know where you are going to go when you snap the football. Nick you are going to step to your left this time and you want to move your left arm and your left foot as you snap the football, go ahead and snap it on through, go, so that is proper technique of snapping the football and then moving to the block that you have to do."
