Depending upon what kind of organization you have, there are going to be a number of different ways you would go about collecting the donations. For instance if you have a church or you are part of a church; churches generally collect their donations doing what would be called the offertory. It's the time where the offering is received and people would then have an opportunity to put either in a basket or some receptacle and to give their donation that way. But even churches oftentimes have other avenues to where people can give either if it's by mail or perhaps over the Internet through merchant account of some kind that is setup to where people can use credit cards or perhaps electronic bank account drafts and things of such. Because now in these time of technology we really must give a number of opportunities; a number of ways for people to be able to give their donations. There are still some organizations that use the old reliable way, just picking up the phone. Donations that are in collections could be made simply by phone calls or perhaps the even older way of simply going door to door and asking. It really depends upon your organization and, and the way that you're used to going about receiving donations. But really there is no particular set way that it has to be done one way or the other. It just simply depends upon your desire.
