Hi, I'm Laura from youngwritersworkshops.com, and I'm going to talk about topic ideas for a thesis paper. Choosing a topic idea or choosing a topic for a thesis paper is really an important part of the whole process, and part of what makes it so important is that it needs to be specific enough for you to write about it and find information, but broad enough that you don't limit yourself and not have enough material to work with -- but leaning towards the specific, because a broad topic is infinitely more difficult to come up with material to support. You have to make sure that you choose a topic that you're interested in because you are going to spend time on this, and you don't want to turn the project into a drudgery. So think about your interests when choosing a topic. Think about one where you're...you'll be able to find enough current information. You don't want a topic that hasn't been written about in, you know, a decade or three decades because you don't want to use out-of-date materials. More current is better. And you also want to do a little bit of research when you're choosing your topic about what types of materials are there going to be -- books and periodicals and research studies that you're going to be able to call from and use...have at your disposal. So those are some ideas about topic ideas for a thesis paper.
