"Hi my name is Dave Andrews and today I'm going to talk to you about using an online investment calculator. Let's pull one up on our computer by clicking on the start button. Let's open up the internet and the website that we're going to go to is www.calculatorweb.com. This is a website that has a lot of different financial calculators that you can use. We will scroll down and here is the investment calculators that you have the capability of using. I'm going to do the compound interest calculator. Let's scroll down and let's type in some numbers into our compound interest calculator and let's say our initial investment is $4000 and the interest rate is about 2% and the terms of the investment is going to be three years which will be 36 months and take your number of years and multiply it by three. In this case for this calculator let's just hit calculate and if you'll scroll down you'll see the results of the interest calculator and it will tell you exactly how much you are going to get paid both yearly, half yearly and monthly and it tells you the amount of the yield for each of those payments. So this calculator right here which does compound interest is one of these many calculators that you can use on calculator web to calculate the value of investments.
