My name is Helen Vella, Vella and Associates, trainer, business consultant and author. Today's segment is about stress activities in the workplace and how to do them. One of the things that I would do for stress is to make sure that you take regular breaks. During your lunch break, go outside, get some fresh air, take some deep breaths and be away from your desk, be away from the work. Don't work at your lunch break. If you're entitled to tea breaks or other breaks, I would take them. Don't take your work with you, go and relax, go for a walk, get outside. Also if you're suffering from stress in the workplace, make sure you speak to someone about it because if your work is too much or you've overloaded or your deadline you're not going to meet, then go and speak to your up line or your HR department. Make sure that you have someone that you can share your stress with so that you can relieve it. Stress is a major problem in the workplace at the moment and you can get yourself very ill if you don't destress yourself. So destressing is a major thing.
