On a water fast, people can lose anywhere from three to eight pounds, depending on how long they fast and how much they initially weigh. Limit a water fast to no more than three days with health advice from a professional wellness consultant in this free video on natural remedies.
Hi everyone, my name is Isabelle. I am a Nutrition and Wellness Consultant, in the Tampa Bay area, and some of you may wonder, how much weight can you lose on the water fast? so we're going to address that today. Well, first of all, it depends on how much you weight right now, and how much you are trying to lose, and number two, it depends on how long you intend to do the water fast. Basically, a water fast, is that you're going to drink nothing but water, for a certain period of time, and eat nothing, so you have to be very careful, if you consider doing one. I would not do one for more than three days, and under the supervision of a doctor. It is very important, because obviously, if you don't eat anything, the body is going to tap into it's reserves, and burn the fat, and go into the cells in your body, to keep you just alive, but you have to be careful, because when we say, I want to lose weight, what we really are saying is, I want to lose fat. You do not want to lose muscle mass, which is going to happen on the water fast, and can be dangerous, if you're living a life that is very fast paced, with lots of meetings, and lots of things to do during the day. You need energy, you need food, you need vitamins, nutrients, protein, to keep you up and going, so if you're going to do a water fast, do it, say over a weekend, or when you're not going to be very busy, where you can lay down and sleep, always under the supervision of your doctor, and that is pretty much it. You can expect to lose, probably anywhere from three to five pounds in doing so, maybe eight, in the course of a three day period, but again, if you plan on doing one, talk to your doctor first. I'm Isabelle Simon, and I look forward to speaking with you really soon. Take care.
