"Hello, I'm Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, Board Certified Dermatologist, and author of " Six Weeks to Sensational Skin." This clip is about winter skin problems. As most of us realize from personal experience, the most dramatic kind of problems that we see on our skin in the winter, are related to a drop in moisture in the atmosphere, and also in our environments, because of indoor heating, and this relates to a dryness that comes onto our skin. This dryness can do one of several things. First of all, if you are someone of middle age, you may notice that drier skin actually ends up giving us a little bit more appearance of wrinkles, and fine lines. The next thing the dryness can do, is it can make our skin feel a little bit uncomfortable, possibly a little bit more sensitive, and more itchy. The ways to approach winter skin, are to be sure that you're washing with a moisturizing, non-soap cleanser every day. You may also stay in the shower, until your skin rehydrates a little bit, and then be sure to put on moisturizer, while your skin is still damp. This is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, in Miami."
