Video Transcript

"Hello, I'm Dr. Loretta Ciraldo, a board certified dermatologist and author of Six Weeks to Sensational Skin. In this clip we're going to talk about Accutane benefits. Accutane is a wonderful product that can be taken as a pill for cases of severe acne. Accutane is a prescription which should really only be given to you by a board certified dermatologist after you have failed conventional acne treatments including failing antibiotic therapy, oral antibiotics. The advantage of Accutane is that typically it can be taken for a 3 to 5 month period and it will clear even the most severe cases of acne in about 85% of these cases. The beauty of it is that after you've completed the Accutane course, it is very unlikely that your acne will come back. But please remember that you need to have constant blood monitoring and there are potential hazards so it's a product or prescription that needs to be used with caution. This is Dr. Loretta Ciraldo in Miami."
