Hi, this is Rachael Richardson, with Nutrolution Incorporated, in South Beach, Florida. In this clip, we're talking about the negative side effects of the South Beach Diet. And for those of you who haven't seen the book or read the book this is the book, South Beach Diet, by Dr. Agatston, who's actually local to South Beach here. There are a couple of things. As much as I actually do like and recommend the South Beach Diet there are a couple things that I would consider negative side effects that I don't recommend about it. One of those is for people that are sensitive to dairy foods. The diet includes lots of cottage cheese, and some cheese, some like skim mozzarella cheese and things like that. And dairy, for some people, can actually in, for my experience, slow down weight loss, and you know, produce extra mu mucous in the body which can cause things like different sinus problems, digestive issues, general sluggishness, so that's one thing. The other thing about the South Beach Diet that to me is a negative aspect is the fact that it includes using Splenda in the diet. Splenda's one of those new artificial sweeteners that there has been research showing that it causes some thyroid problems, and just because I don't, we don't know yet for sure I don't recommend using Splenda in your food or your diet program. This is Rachael, with Nutrolution, in Miami Beach, Florida.
