Adware is unwanted software which unrelentlessly shows advertisement on your desktop which can result in a really frustrating user experience. To start, you'll need to download a free anti-spyware and adware program. Two of these, which you can get for free are Spybot Search and Destroy, available from www.safer-networking.org and also Ad-Aware from Lavasoft. Once you've downloaded one of these programs, simply run it and go to the scan section. Now the first time, you'll want to do a full scan to really get rid of all the adware that can be on your system. But once you've done that and removed it, you can just run a smart scan about once a week to keep your computer clean."
