Hi I'm Kelli. I'm an aesthetician and make-up artist at Ulta Salon and Cosmetics, and I'm going to talk to you a little bit about what shades of eyeshadow could be right for you. First thing you want to take into consideration is whether you're a warm or a cool tone. And what I mean by that is whether you have more of a golden undertone to your skin, or you have more of a pink undertone to your skin. If you have more of a golden undertone to your skin it's going to make you more of a warm tone. If you have more of a pink undertone to your skin you're going to be more of a cool tone. Now you could be kind of like Hannah here, who is really a blend of both. She's really neither warm or cold, she's what we call a neutral. So you people who are more neutral toned their able to wear a wide variety of colors. Second thing you want to take into consideration is the color of your eyes. Blue eyes have a tendency to look really good in colors such as this: your golds, your peaches, your tawny colors. Your blue eyes are going to look really good in that because the base of these colors is orange and orange is a complimentary color to blue, so it's going to enhance the blue. Now people with green eyes have a tendency to look really good in pinks, or plums, or purples such as this color here and that's because you think of green, red is a complimentary color to green, of course you're not going to put red on your eye for the most part, but pinks and plums and mauves kind of have that red undertone to it. Now people with brown eyes are pretty much the lucky ones they can wear almost any color. So those are some things that you can take into consideration when you're trying to choose the eye color that's right for you.
