My name is Christine Marquette and I'm a registered and licensed dietitian with Marquette Nutrition and Fitness and I have been asked about the health benefits of liquid Chlorophyll. Part of the reason why people have an interest in Chlorophyll is because it is found in plants and it is known as part of a pant that helps the plant actually produce oxygen. So a lot of people think oh you know it actually produces oxygen through the plants, it has to be a healthy substance. There hasn't been a whole lot of research into Chlorophyll and what the potential benefit in humans could possibly be so I can't give you definitively the benefits of liquid Chlorophyll. It has that potential again of being plant matter that it has specific nutrients that could be beneficial to us, different vitamins, different minerals, other biochemicals that could potentially help with prevention of various illnesses such as cancer but as far as giving specifics and definite research on Chlorophyll and its benefits to the human body there hasn't been a lot of study in it at this point so as far as we know there isn't risks of taking the Chlorophyll however, there also isn't any research that shows there is a lot of benefit to taking liquid Chlorophyll so if you are taking it specifically because you believe there is a benefit regarding the oxygen you are better off really just consuming an adequate intake of fruits and vegetables which are plant foods and of course your green leafy vegetables are going to have a certain amount of Chlorophyll in them. So you are better off taking, getting Chlorophyll from natural sources as far as eating the whole fruits and vegetables rather than taking a liquid Chlorophyll supplement.
