"Hi, my name is Bill Rae. I'm with Alumni Financial Services. I've been in the business of the finance world for well over 20 years. Today's question is understanding the stock trading system. Excellent question by the way. First of all, let's get a little general understanding of what a stock is. Most people understand a stock to mean that if I owned a business, you would loan me money or buy if you will, a piece of my company and there are numerous ways to do this in the stocks, but let's just keep it general for now. By the way, we're not giving any stock advice here. With that in mind, understanding the stock trading system should be fairly easy. The stock trading system is a mechanism or a way if you will that will allow you to buy, trade or sell stocks in numerous companies with people all around the world if you will. In other words it's a conduit, it's a way for you to be able to transfer money in and out of a particular company or trade off. That's all it is. But as all things financial, we urge you if you're going to move into this market, definitely speak with a licensed professional. Seek that outside counsel. Do your homework, there are many sites that you can go on and begin to learn the language. You can talk with your local banker. As always when you're going to sign a contract or agreement, know what's expected of you, know what the costs are involved, know when and how you can get your money back. Do a little research, it'll be well worth your time. My name is Bill Rae, I'm with Alumni Financial Services and as always, we're here to help you build wealth."
