Hi my name is Rachael Richardson and I'm with Nutrolution in Miami Beach, Florida. In this clip we're talking about the benefits of vitamin D. And so this is a supplement that I personally use here and this is actually a vitamin D3 supplement and you always want to look for if you are taking a vitamin D supplementally which I recommend you do during the winter months if you don't live in sunshine and you don't get your proper sun exposure, then you definitely need to take a vitamin D3 supplement. Somewhere between 1,000 and 2,000 IU's is now being recommended and what you want to do is you have your D3 levels checked periodically to make sure that you're getting the right amount. Another way to get your D3 is to basically just get full sun exposure on your entire body or close to it for 15 minutes a day and that's what's recommended to get adequate vitamin D. Now vitamin D is used for so many things in the body, but one of it's major, major functions is immune function. And we're finding out that people with cancer throughout the world are deficient, highly deficient in vitamin D3.
