If you're thinking about producing a TV show, you may have come to the point that you're asking yourself, "What does it take to produce a TV show?" Well, I'm here to tell you. We've been producing TV shows for sometime here at my company Chicago Productions. And there's a lot that goes into producing a TV show. But what I always say is 90% of the production is in fact the pre-production. So that's the most important part. You need to find out what type of a show you like to produce. You need to have the ideas, the concepts, the scripting, the location, the talent and pretty importantly, you need to have the money behind you to be able to make all those things happen. If you don't have your own production company, you need to hire a production company. Most of the time you'll find that a production company will give you the direction that you need to help you get your concept to the next level. So if you want to produce your own TV show, think about that. Think about what type of a show you want to produce, put the concepts down. You may want to get together with your creative department or friends, peers and come up with some ideas. Do a bit of brain storming that help evolve those ideas. You know, one idea is a good idea, but a lot of ideas that come together in a brain storm can make some great ideas. So your off, produce your own TV show.
