This is financial adviser Patrick Munro talking about buying dirt cheap stocks. Well during these recessionary times, there's a bear market afoot and many stocks are undervalued many people say that Wall Street is on sale. In fact it's dirt cheap to buy into stocks. Be careful when you hear that because many times the bottom has yet not yet been revealed and you can continue to lose principal. The rules on buying stocks are always constant no matter what type of a market we're in, bullish or bearish. Past performances is no indication of future value, may lose value, not insured by any federal government agency. So make sure that you can afford to lose anything that you can't afford to lose. You have to have a tolerance for risk and you have to make sure that there's a good emergency fund built under your investment portfolio. If you're smart, you can research and find cheaper stocks with a strong upside potential and then get involved in the upside potential of those stocks.
