"This is financial adviser, Patrick Munro, talking about Will My Credit Card Work in Europe? Traveling is a great privilege, and if you're fortunate enough to travel, either for pleasure or on business, many times you'll want to take a credit card over to Europe, as well, to pay for your expenses. A credit card is part of an international system, most notably known as Cirrus. The Cirrus System, or the Star System of credit cards allow you to use your card in a given country, and pay for it in the currency that that country honors, for instance, euros. And in real time, the equivalent of euros will be taken out of your U.S. account. It's important to make sure that you have a logo on the back of your card, the Cirrus or Star system that will allow you to travel. If at all possible, check with your financial institution first before you travel to your destination of choice so that you know the terms and conditions that apply to your credit card going forward. This is Patrick Munro, talking about are credit cards valid in Europe? Thank you."
