Hi. I'm Rebecca. I'm here at Encore Gymnastics, and I'm here with Virgina. And we're here to talk about some training programs for jumping rope. First we can start out by just the basic rope jump, where we jump through with both of our feet together, pushing through our toes so we work all the way up through our legs. Working our cardiovascular exercises and getting our heart rate up, getting ready for the rest of our exercise for the day. We can also do all kinds of different things with our feet. One is, we can run through, hopping from one foot to the other. And we always want to make sure that we balance it out by switching feet and putting the other foot leading forward. Some other things that we can do are bouncing from one foot. So we can push through one foot, make sure that we have our balance together. If you feel like you're going to start loosing your balance, you can go ahead and put the other foot down, or rest. And, again, we always want to make sure that we balance it out by doing the other foot. And as Virginia did, she started off with two feet and then jumped to one, to make sure that she had her balance in place. When we jump rope, and do jump rope training programs, we always want to make sure that our core is nice and tight. Our bottom is nice and squeezed, and we're pushing through the foot.
