"Hi, this is Elizabeth Muller, from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida. In this clip I'm going to show you how to relax afro hair. Now, I'm going to go ahead and use the relaxer, and it's in a jar like this, and I'm going to go ahead and put it in here first. I don't want contaminate it by continuing to stick my comb in and using the relaxer over and over again on other people. So you go ahead and use the amount that you want on the clients hair. You put it in here. OK. Take a little bit, and continue to do that, and, till you reach the amount you need for the client so you can start the hair. I'm going to proceed to base the hair before I put any kind of relaxer on the customer. OK. And just put it on the roots of the hair, so that way, she doesn't get any kind of a burn, any scalp burn. You always base the hair, and if she has a little bit of previous color, like this customer does, you only do the root of the hair, OK? And only where it's needed. Only where the relaxer is needed. So you go ahead and you take a bit of the relaxer, and you put it on the section that's needed, which will be right there. Make sure you don't touch the scalp at all. And you do the other side. Be very careful. You do this to the whole head continuously over and over again on the root, and then you go ahead and you go through the hair like twice, making sure that the hair strand is not over processing. This has been Elizabeth Muller."
