Hi I'm Roger Groh. We're here today to talk about why invest in international stocks? Well it is pretty interesting. Thirty years ago whatever country you were in you had your own power companies and you had your own water companies and you had your own food companies and your own technology companies and there really wasn't a whole lot done between countries meaning you had what you had. In today's world that is much different. If you think about it no matter where you go you can get Coca Cola, no matter where you go you can watch CNN, no matter where you go you can see a Nestles Chocolate Bar or better yet a Nestles Ice Cream Bar, out in the boondocks in the middle of nowhere in China. A favorite story of mine is the one time I was climbing in Mt. Kilimanjaro and about half way up they had a little teeny tiny hut with one guy sitting there powered by a solar panel and he was selling Budweiser out of this little teeny tiny hut half way up Kilimanjaro. How they go there I don't know. It was five bucks a beer. It tasted delicious but my point is that actively around the world there are now global brands. The reason why you would buy international is not all of those global brands are based in one country. So why buy international? It is because we have argued long and hard that you wanted to buy the best companies you possibly can find in their industry groups, not all of them are based in the same country and that is why you would go and buy from international. I'm Roger Groh.
