Hi, I'm Ben from the Cellphone Broker in San Jose, California, and today, I'm going to show you how to send SMS text messages on a BlackBerry cell phone. SMS stands for short message service, and that's, you know, your general text message that most people send from their regular phones. On the BlackBerry, however, since the BlackBerry is an email-designed device, it's a little bit more difficult to send text messages. It is primarily designed for email, and text messaging is kind of second to that. So there's a couple of ways to send text messages from your...from your BlackBerry. If you have contacts in your device that have phone numbers attached to them -- I know some people just have emails attached to their contacts in their BlackBerry -- but if you have phone numbers that you can send messages to, what you can do is you can hit compose. You can select the contact that you want to send a message to. You can scroll down to their number that you want to send it to, and then you can type in a message. And then all you'll do is hit send. And it'll show up in your outgoing mailbox, which can be accessed right over here. The other way to do it would be to go into your mailbox, hit the menu key, scroll down to compose SMS text, select the number you want to send it to, and type in a message. Hit either the trackball in the middle or the menu key. It'll both pop up the same little sub-menu, and then you can hit send. And there you go.
